Financial Reporting and Consolidation Analyst - Minneapolis

The Financial Reporting and Consolidation Analyst will oversee the consolidation of EDF Renewables financial statements using Business Objects Financial Consolidation (BOFC) under the guidance of the Sr. Manager Financial Reporting and Consolidation. This role requires a strong understanding of financial processes and practices as the individual will work closely with the Corporate Consolidation Department at our parent company EDF Renouvelables in Paris. Collaboration with various teams including Accounting Tax Treasury and Executive Management is essential for successfully managing complex financial transactions and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.

Skills

• 5 years of accounting experience (consolidation experience preferred)
• Proficient in Business Objects Financial Consolidation (BOFC) or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) with SAP/ERP experience highly preferred
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
• Excellent communication skills and a teamoriented mindset
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
• Ability to manage and analyze complex financial transactions

Responsibilities

• Manage all deliverables related to the consolidation of assigned segments
• Prepare analytical reviews and analyses for Balance Sheet P&L and Cash Flow Statements
• Validate and upload data into BOFC overseeing complex financial flows
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance teams to generate necessary accounting entries
• Oversee IFRS subjects/standards and prepare training materials for team members
• Analyze cash flow and respond to data requests from management
• Serve as the primary contact for KPMG auditors for the assigned segment
• Facilitate communication with the Paris team

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or equivalent experience required
• Experience in the Renewables/Energy sector in an international environment preferred
• Proven ability to perform accounting and consolidation research as well as prepare comprehensive memorandums
• Demonstrated leadership in team projects and collaboration with multiple functions
