The Opportunity:
Our client a leader in largescale data center construction is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee all facets of a data center campus build. As the Construction Project Manager you will serve as the clientfacing representative and key point of connection for the Engineering and Construction teams.
The successful candidate will bring the experience knowledge and leadership skills necessary to manage construction teams and activities at a hyperscale data center campus ensuring safe and successful delivery with quality on time and on budget. You will also have a deep understanding of all facets of the building process from initial planning and foundational work through project completion and turnover.
Responsibilities:
- Actively monitor the safety of all site infrastructure substation and core/shell construction.
- Manage general project activities including daytoday construction tasks and finances related to the project.
- Handle monthly invoicing and budgeting and support the finance team with monthly quarterly and yearly cash flow reporting and projections.
- Plan and lead OwnerArchitectContractor (OAC) meetings.
- Collaborate closely with preconstruction project executives project managers safety and quality assurance team members.
- Develop trusting relationships with clients Joint Health Authorities (JHAs) general contractors and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct weekly/daily delay surveys to maintain the Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule and work with project managers to update schedules in real time.
- Assist team members in assembling closeout documents including O&M manuals warranties and preventive maintenance agreements as the project approaches substantial completion.
Education and Experience:
- Relevant college degree or commensurate relevant experience.
- Proven Construction Project Management experience with a reputable general contractor.
- Handson experience working in construction trailers.
- PMP certification (preferred).
- OSHA training.
- Background in data center development.
- Familiarity with large projects or a consistent history of managing multiple projects.
- Knowledge of construction worksite safety practices.
- Proficiency in Procore and other construction management software.
- Working knowledge of green building practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and highly crossfunctional environment.
Travel and Location:
- Preferred Location: Lytle/San Antonio Texas .
- Weekly site visits encouraged.
- Hybrid presence in Denver or Kansas City is also an option.
- 50% travel (site visits every 34 weeks) with travel decreasing as the project progresses.
- Occasional travel to company office locations for team gatherings.
