We are seeking a Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join our client a leading player in the petrochemical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of electrical systems and instrumentation equipment. This role involves the design installation maintenance troubleshooting and improvement of E&I systems to support plant operations and enhance productivity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed plans for daily adhoc and shutdown maintenance activities ensuring safe and efficient execution within established schedules and budgets.
- Lead coach and mentor subordinates to enhance their skills and performance
- Review and evaluate maintenance planning documents such as LongTerm Maintenance Plans and Critical Equipment Lists to ensure alignment with operational goals.
- Create update and refine maintenance procedures and work instructions to optimize efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to analyze data from predictive and preventive maintenance of critical plant equipment recommend improvements and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support the planning coordination and execution of Shutdown Maintenance (SDM) activities including statutory equipment inspections.
- Provide timely and effective technical support to production technical and coordination teams as well as external vendors to resolve operational challenges
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues engaging relevant stakeholders to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Propose and drive improvement initiatives and projects presenting ideas to management and overseeing their successful implementation.
- Execute engineering and minor modification projects with a focus on electrical and instrumentation systems to enhance plant performance.
- Deliver technical training sessions and toolbox briefings for internal teams and contractors to build technical competency.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities and support continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Instrumentation or Control Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) engineering preferably in the petrochemical oil & gas or chemical industries.
- Expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) SCADA systems and process instrumentation.
- Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs loop diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment and process instruments including AC motors analyzers control valves pressure transmitters and level transmitters.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems and experienced in plant maintenance processes.
- Ability to work independently lead teams effectively and manage multiple tasks within planned schedules.
- Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and problemsolving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
