Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in Johannesburg South Africa. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our organizations procurement processes managing vendor relationships and driving costeffective purchasing strategies.
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with organizational goals
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms pricing and quality standards
- Analyze market trends supply chain risks and opportunities to inform procurement decisions
- Manage the entire procurement lifecycle from requisition to payment
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Implement and maintain procurement policies procedures and best practices
- Utilize ERP systems to streamline procurement processes and enhance datadriven decisionmaking
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on procurement activities and cost savings
- Ensure compliance with local and international procurement regulations and standards
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management with a proven track record of success
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team
- Expertise in strategic sourcing vendor management and contract negotiation
- Proficiency in cost analysis budgeting and financial management
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a datadriven approach
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Indepth understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices
- Knowledge of industryspecific procurement practices and international trade regulations
- Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
