Job Description
Are you an experienced Construction Manager with a passion for the mining industry We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join us our team for a 6month contract in Aggeneys. If you have a strong background in construction management and a proven track record in the mineral processing industry we want to hear from you!
Qualifications:
- National Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g. PMP CCM) are advantageous.
- At least 8 years of experience within the mining industry specifically in mineral processing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all construction activities including planning scheduling and execution.
- Coordinate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Oversee daily operations onsite ensuring adherence to project specifications and plans.
- Manage and supervise construction personnel subcontractors and vendors ensuring work is performed in accordance with safety standards and contractual obligations.
- Allocate resources efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Resolve onsite issues or conflicts and ensure effective communication among all parties.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety meetings inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards or noncompliance issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health safety and environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor construction quality to ensure all work meets required standards and specifications.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify materials and workmanship comply with project requirements.
- Address and rectify any quality issues or deficiencies promptly and effectively.
- Oversee construction budgets and control costs including managing expenditures and tracking financial performance.
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Monitor progress against the project plan and adjust schedules and resources as necessary.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for constructionrelated inquiries and issues.
- Provide regular updates and reports to project managers stakeholders and clients on construction progress challenges and achievements.
- Facilitate effective communication between all project team members and external parties.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate construction documentation including daily logs progress reports and change orders.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on construction activities performance and compliance.
- Ensure proper documentation of all construction work and modifications for future reference.
- Oversee the final stages of construction including commissioning and handover of the project to the client.
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed to satisfaction and any remaining issues are resolved.
- Conduct postproject reviews to assess performance gather lessons learned and implement improvements for future projects.
- Stay updated with the latest industry best practices technologies and regulations.
- Perform any ad hoc tasks as requested by management.
