Joint Venture Accountant

AECOM is seeking a Joint Venture Accountant to join the controllership team. 

This will be a hybrid work schedule position including a combination of both remote and inoffice that can be based in but not limited to: Austin TX: Houston TX; Denver CO.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Preparing monthly financial statements and reporting packages
• Processing invoices payments and monthly journal entries
• Monitoring analyzing and reconciling various balance sheet accounts
• Working with internal customers to gather and provide information
• Maintaining accounting controls and company policies
• Prepare departmental reporting/reconciliations as assigned

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements :

• BA/BS 2 years of relevant accounting experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education..
• Understanding of the fundamentals of accounting financial reporting under US GAAP.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience with ORACLE a plus.
• Advanced computer skills preferred: to include Excel skills (VLOOKUP PivotTables IF Macros).  Handson experience with ORACLE financial reporting system a plus.
• Consistently meets deadlines on a timely basis.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and effectively communicate findings/results.
• Must be a proactive selfstarter with the ability to work independently and multitask.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
