Job Description
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT MANUFACTURING (Permanent)
Our client a wellestablished local company in WNY is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity that provides a great worklife balance in a company who values and rewards its employees. This position is open due to an upcoming retirement.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of accounting functions contributing to the financial success of the company
- Ensure all financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- General ledger completion accruals depreciation schedules etc.
- Monthend close ensuring financial reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Partake in the transition into/implementation of new technologies/computer systems
- Review the success of the new computer system utilizing it to streamline processes and enhance operations
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team in order to drive business providing key insights into financial successes/shortcomings of the company and offering educated recommendations for improvements
- Provide analysis planning and accounting support to the business
- Collaborate with external accountants to ensure financial accuracy & compliance with tax laws/regulations
- Maintain compliance and confidentiality at all times
- Assess current processes and identify new solutions to create a more efficient workflow
- Other duties as assigned
Details:
- Position is full time direct hire
- 100% inoffice
- $70000 $95000 base annual salary depending on experience

- 5 years relevant experience
- Bachelor s degree in accounting Finance or similar
- MBA / CPA a plus
- Proficient computer skills specifically Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to multitask/prioritize obligations
- Strong computer skills
