Job Title: Client Account Specialist (Benefits)

Location: Rochester NY

Rate: $20 per hr.

Position Overview

Our client a Global Financial Services company is seeking a detail oriented Client Account Specialist focused in the area of Benefits.

Responsibilities:

The Client Account Specialist will join our client and provide exceptional customer service and support to internal teams and external clients. They will play a vital role in the setup maintenance and management of client accounts for Health & Benefits (H&B) and COBRA services ensuring accuracy compliance and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate setup and ongoing maintenance of client accounts including all necessary documentation.
  • Research and resolve product and service issues to meet client needs and support retention goals.
  • Manage the accuracy of financial and insurance transactions for client accounts.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients insurance carriers and internal partners.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls providing prompt and effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and documentation to ensure compliance with state federal and insurance partner requirements.
  • Utilize multiple software applications including HRIS and ORS systems to address client inquiries and manage data input.
  • Participate in productrelated projects and training to stay updated on industry developments and internal processes.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Management Business Finance or a related field. Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry customer service and billing processes; familiarity with health insurance is a plus.
  • Strong organizational prioritization and professional communication skills.
