Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer specialising in structural engineering and construction supervision to join our team in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing structural aspects of largescale construction projects ensuring quality safety and compliance with local regulations.
- Supervise construction activities ensuring adherence to structural designs specifications and quality standards
- Review and approve structural drawings calculations and construction methodologies
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential structural issues
- Collaborate with project managers architects and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical challenges
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian building codes safety regulations and industry standards
- Prepare detailed technical reports including structural assessments and recommendations
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and technicians in structural engineering practices
- Participate in project meetings and liaise with clients contractors and regulatory bodies
- Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the construction process
- Analyse and resolve complex structural engineering problems onsite
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineering (PE) licence or equivalent qualification
- Relevant structural engineering certifications (e.g. Chartered Engineer) are highly desirable
- Minimum of 10 years experience in structural engineering and construction supervision
- Proven experience with largescale construction projects
- Indepth knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit or similar structural design software
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations particularly those applicable in Saudi Arabia
- Excellent project management skills and familiarity with project management tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated expertise in structural design and analysis
- Thorough understanding of construction methodologies and best practices
- Strong knowledge of quality control and assurance in construction
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in construction sites
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to work onsite and travel as required
