Job Description

Summary

We are seeking an individual to assist us at our retail store in Fairfax VA. The Store Manager drives store sales by offering outstanding customer service providing a high level of attention to detail on product presentation and maintaining product instock position.  This will be achieved by selecting training motivating and developing a team capable of executing the tasks required to maintain the standards of a worldclass retailer. Must effectively manage store personnel operations and maintain a positive and energetic work environment. The Store Manager is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the store and must consistently demonstrate and uphold the Sundance culture with the utmost integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service/Sales

  • Consistently exceeds the expectations and requirements of both the internal and external customer.
  • Acts as a floor leader and set the example through proper role model. Runs the store from the floor.
  • Listens to customers and uses their feedback to improve service levels in the store.
  • Achieves budget sales payroll and inventory goals. Analyzes sales trends and develops plans and schedules to maximize profits and minimize costs.
  • Resolves issues in a timely and costeffective manner.
  • Provides ongoing sales and product training for the staff to achieve sales goals.

Store Teams

  • Is dedicated to recruiting hiring and training a talented management team. Develops team so that store is fully staffed at all times and turnover is kept to a minimum.
  • Committed to developing direct management team reports to the next level.
  • Provides challenging goals and assignments to ensure all associates are trained and performing to company expectations.
  • Motivates and develops associates by providing frequent developmental discussions product training sales and service techniques. Writes and delivers all management performance appraisals.
  • Meets regularly with management team to discuss business sales trends product assortment and inventory levels new operations procedures and hiring needs. Sets weekly and monthly goals.
  • Holds quarterly store meetings to inform team of sales trends and goals new product information enhancing selling techniques seasonal promotions and individual recognition.

Operations

  • Maintains disciplines for visual standards store cleanliness safety and operations all executed and implemented in a timely cost effective manner.
  • Monitors inventory procedures and sees that shrink goals are met.
  • Consistently enforces all company policies and procedures. Performs opening/closing procedures and ensures bank deposits are done daily.
  • Keeps open and responsive communication with District Manager.
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  • Maintains compliance with all legal requirements and postings.

Qualifications :

  • Associates degree in business management or a related field; BS or BA preferred
  • Five plus years retail management experience including previous specialty retail experience with management responsibilities
  • Experience with a premium brand retailer
  • Experience in an environment where customer service is highly regarded
  • Computer literacy including use of Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint required
