Dental Assistant

This Position is Contingent on Contract Award. 

This position is in support of a proposed repatriation initiative.  The purpose of the facilities is to provide comprehensive care for migrant individuals who are awaiting reunification or repatriation.  This care will begin as soon as each occupant arrives at the facility and will last until their arranged departure. The comprehensive care includes but is not limited to initial screening and exams identifications of prior conditions and allergies day to day care of routine urgent and emergency medical conditions.     

International SOS is looking for an individual who is an experienced Dental Assistant to support dentists by preparing patients for procedures assisting during treatments and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the dental office. They play a crucial role in patient care comfort and efficient dental operations. 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental procedures by making them comfortable and explaining upcoming treatments. 
• Assist the dentist during procedures including handling instruments and materials and ensuring the dentist has everything needed. 
• Sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols. 
• Set up and breakdown treatment rooms ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are in place. 
• Take and develop dental Xrays. 
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records including documenting procedures and updating medical histories. 
• Monitor and manage dental supplies inventory ordering and restocking materials. 
• Perform laboratory tasks such as making dental impressions and preparing materials for crowns and prosthetics. 
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices postprocedural care and preventative measures. 
• Assist with scheduling appointments handling billing and other frontoffice tasks.

Qualifications :

Basic Requirements/Certifications:  

• Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Certified by Dental Assistant Exam (CDA). 
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 

Education Required: 

• Successful completion of a twoyear dental assistant program or 
• Completion of a twoyear dental hygiene program accredited by the American Dental Associations Commission on Accreditation that includes at least 12 semester hours of courses. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. 
• Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. 
• May require bending stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs. 

Other Special Qualifications: 

• Must be a US Citizen or possess a permanent resident card. 
• Current MRPT Clearance preferred. 

Additional Information :

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.

Compensation:   Min: $19hr        Max: $32hr
