Job Description
Join our team in Scarborough United Kingdom as a Porter/Catering Assistant for a parttime termtime position. Were looking for an efficient and customerfocused individual to support our catering operations on weekends and Mondays.
- Assist in food preparation and presentation ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene
- Serve meals and refreshments to students staff and visitors
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas dining rooms and equipment
- Transport food supplies and equipment between kitchen and service areas
- Operate basic kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Support catering events and special functions as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly supportive attitude
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work weekends and Mondays from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM during term time
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff
- Previous experience in catering or food service preferred
- Food safety certification preferred
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
