The Rheumatology Research Group is looking for a PhD Research Student to apply for predoctoral PFIS contracts.
The Carlos III Health Institute and Ministerio de Ciencia Innovacin y Universidades has published its Grant Program for the year 2025. VHIR offers a vacancy to apply for PFIS and/or FPU Predoctoral Fellowships within the LUPUS Group to join the project entitled Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: from the preclinical phase to established disease. Molecular characterization of the different stages and identification of risk factors for early progression (PI24/01329) under the supervision of Dra Josefina CortsHernndez. The group has strong and worldwiderecognized expertise in Lupus Research.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Candidate must hold a Degree in Biochemistry Biotechnology Biomedicine Biologist or similar
- An official university masters degree leading to a doctorate (is not necessary until the vacancy is accepted)
Desired:
- Fluency in Catalan Spanish English (professional level)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Interested in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and basic translational research
- Strong sense of responsibility initiative selfmotivation and teamwork abilities
Desired:
- Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Collaborate in the design of the experiments their performance as well as the subsequent statistical analysis and interpretation of the data.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Manuscript and grant writing.
Labour conditions:
- Fulltime position: 40h/week
- The candidate will apply for the PFIS and/or FPU call. The application will be submitted during JanuaryFebraury 2025.
- The working conditions and Salary will be those stipulated in the call. Amount: Minimum 20600/year
- Contract: Predoctoral
The hiring for this position will be contingent upon the finalist securing the grant mentioned in the offer - Contract length: 4 years
