The IFS sustainability strategy is focused around three strategic pillars: excellence in our own business; supporting our customers to meet their sustainability goals; and achieving broader positive impact in the communities we operate in. The Environmental Analysts role will enable delivery of this strategy working to integrate sustainable practices across the business and drive progress against our environmental goals. The role will sit within our central sustainability team but is expected to work across functions working with our network of sustainability business partners. The focus of this role is the smooth delivery of environmental projects and will include a mix of specific regular tasks and adhoc tasks.

Successful candidates will be located in Sri Lanka. Types of work will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting the implementation of IFS sustainability strategy through involvement in specific projects and tracking measures of success.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including employees suppliers and partners to deliver sustainability initiatives.
- Upskilling in environmental sustainability knowledge and relevant frameworks and training others to increase sustainability awareness.
- Proactively seeking ways to improve our business environmental performance and tracking towards our sustainability and business goals.
Tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Corporate carbon management calculating GHG emissions data in line with the GHG Protocol guidance analysing the data to derive insights into how we can effectively manage these emissions in line with our public commitments.
- Identifying and enabling delivery of climate initiatives including value chain decarbonisation levers and carbon credit investments working crossfunctionally to ensure we meet our climate goals.
- Accurate data collation for environmental social and governance (ESG) metrics and sustainability performance reporting.
- Delivering internal reporting to different stakeholder groups which may include: IFS employees functional leads sustainability business partners ESG SteerCo and shareholders.
- Helping develop our annual sustainability report including carbon footprint calculations environmental initiatives and statistics and calculation of KPIs as well as enabling external audit processes.
- Enabling qualitative and quantitative climate scenario analysis conducted in line with TCFD/ISSB and ESRS (CSRD) recommendations.
- Consulting with the product organisation to help with the development of sustainabilityrelated IFS software products including sustainability applications as well as broader solutions.
- Working with other functions including with marketing and comms to improve sustainability awareness through internal and external posts blogs case studies and infographics.
- Working with risk legal and compliance teams to assess and mitigate risks related to sustainability.
- Enabling the IFS sustainability business partner network though development of materials briefing packs and a consistent productive dialogue.
- Handling queries from stakeholders on sustainability and seeking to enhance sustainability knowledge outside of the core sustainability team leveraging tooling where appropriate.
- Monitoring best practice and trends in sustainability and support on benchmarking exercises such as EcoVadis.
Actively suggesting improvements to processes or policies including stakeholder management sustainability communications and our bid response process.
Qualifications :
- An undergraduate / graduate in Environmental Sustainability or a related field preferred.
- Work experience in corporate or consulting on environmental sustainability is preferred.
Expertise
- Strong desire to pursue and develop a career in corporate environmental sustainability
- Working in environmental sustainability in a corporate setting or equivalent including practical knowledge of GHG Protocolaligned carbon accounting (knowledge of the Science Based Targets initiative is a plus).
- Knowledge of corporate decarbonisation strategy common challenges and approaches to reduce environmental impact.
- Knowledge of common sustainability regulations and frameworks particularly CSRD SBTi TCFD/ISSB.
- Proactive selfstarter and advisor able to act independently without continuous guidance but is comfortable asking questions if and when further clarity is needed.
- Expertise in using MS Office applications such as Word Excel Outlook etc. as well as being technically confident and curious to expand knowledge.
- Good communication skills in English both oral and written. Comfortable presenting to a group of senior stakeholders.
- A safe pair of hands to deliver work and problemsolve effectively.
- Ability to multitask and handle large volumes of work during peak periods of activity and the ability to deal with conflicting priorities.
- A team player willing and able to support fellow team members remotely or in person.
