Job Title : Mainframe zCapacity System Administrator
Location : Oslo Norway
Job Description:
As a Lead Mainframe zCapacity System Administrator with our client youll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. Youll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization working with some of our biggest clients which means some of the biggest in the world.
Youll be managing systems data and capacity adjustments and reporting for our clients. Youll oversee a queue of assignments and work.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain solution for collection consolidation and aggregation of SMF records.
Establish WLM policies for new LPARs and maintain old ones.
Allocate CPU and memory resources within LPAR.
Monitor Resource usage and trends for zOS LPARs and subsystems.
Maintain System Usage Reports.
Maintain MXG and SAS code and manage reporting jobs.
Maintain Hardware capacity adjustments according to customer requirements.
Keep Capacity planning and reporting related documentation uptodate.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Experience of z/OS monitors.Knowledge and experience of TWSC and WLM.
Simple LPAR management (HCD parameters).
Selfinitiated software maintenance and error fixing.Ability to learn new features and deduce problems in the customers value chain.
Proficient in English (must have).
Nice to have :
Experience of Examine ITBI Services Portal or similar tool for Capacity reporting.
ITIL process knowledge.
