As a Senior AI/ML Engineer At Handoff You Will
Handoff is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer with a strong foundation in machine learning computer vision and the adaptability to tackle diverse challenges. As a generalist on our team you will focus on solving realworld business problems by leveraging advanced machine learning techniques and proprietary datasets. This role requires a balance of technical expertise a problemsolving mindset and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Develop Machine Learning Solutions: Apply traditional and modern ML techniques to build solutions that address key business challenges such as enhancing estimate accuracy or streamlining AI agent features.
- Leverage Proprietary Data: Utilize our extensive blueprint dataset to explore and develop innovative computer vision solutions driving unique value in our product offerings.
- Balance ML and Business Objectives: Identify and implement the most effective ML tools and approaches ensuring alignment with both immediate project goals and broader business needs.
- Monitor and Optimize Performance: Establish evaluation frameworks to measure and improve the effectiveness of deployed models iterating based on results to achieve reliable outcomes.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering product and other stakeholders to integrate ML solutions seamlessly into production ensuring scalability reliability and usercentric design.
- Stay at the Cutting Edge: Keep abreast of advancements in both computer vision and machine learning research adopting promising methods to enhance our capabilities.
About You
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field.
- Experience: 510 years of experience in machine learning with a proven ability to apply techniques across domains like NLP computer vision and predictive analytics.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in foundational ML tools: Pandas NumPy OpenCV and scikitlearn.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with working on computer vision tasks such as image recognition object detection and processing large datasets like blueprints.
- Handson experience with data engineering tools (e.g. SQL Apache Airflow) for building pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure) for deploying ML solutions.
- Generalist Problem Solver: Able to adapt quickly to a variety of technical challenges selecting the right tools and techniques to solve business problems.
- Collaboration Skills: A team player who communicates effectively with crossfunctional teams to ensure alignment and success in delivering impactful solutions.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with the dynamic nature of a startup environment balancing rapid iteration with highquality outcomes.
- DataCentric Mindset: Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with proprietary datasets to unlock innovative solutions.
