Position Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our team on a fulltime contract remote basis. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in healthcare information systems business analysis and system integration. The successful candidate must perform all duties within Canada and will not have custody or control of Personal Health Information under The Personal Health Information Act (Manitoba).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform business analysis tasks including supporting information system implementation process mapping and identifying capability gaps.
- Elicit requirements from stakeholders and implement systems in healthcare settings.
- Conduct analysis and testing on healthcare information systems integration using HL7 (Health Level 7) standards.
- Work with provincial healthcare client registry solutions analyzing integration with other healthcare systems and testing registry solutions.
- Develop and execute test plans and scripts for system and user acceptance testing with a focus on healthcare information systems integration.
- Provide organizational change management (OCM) services including virtual training sessions demos and trainthetrainer curriculum delivery.
- Develop and test Business Intelligence (BI) reports derived from application data.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certification: Valid PRINCE2 Foundation level or higher certification.
- Business Analysis: Minimum of 10 years of experience performing business analysis tasks for information system implementation projects and process mapping.
- Healthcare Systems: At least 7 years of experience eliciting requirements and implementing systems in healthcare settings.
- HL7 Standards: 5 years of experience analyzing and testing healthcare system integrations using HL7 standards.
- Client Registry Solutions: 5 years of experience working with provincial healthcare client registry solutions including integration with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) used in ambulatory care.
- Testing: 6 years of experience in developing and executing test plans/scripts and conducting system and user acceptance testing including healthcare systems.
- Organizational Change Management: 1 year of experience in developing training materials and delivering virtual training sessions.
- Business Intelligence: 3 years of experience developing and testing BI reports derived from application data.
