Job Description
Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Austin TX
Domain: Banking (Only candidates from banking domain will be considered)
Job Overview:
We are looking for Data Engineers with expertise in SSIS package configuration Azure and Databricks to join a dynamic team at Kestra Financial. In this role you will work initially on configuring SSIS packages in an Azure environment and then help decommission and migrate them to Databricks for improved data processing workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- SSIS Package Configuration: Work on the configuration and optimization of SSIS packages in an Azure environment.
- Databricks Migration: Assist in decommissioning SSIS packages and transitioning them to Databricks leveraging its powerful data processing capabilities.
- Workflow Management: Collaborate with the team to orchestrate and schedule complex data pipelines using Kestra Financials workflow management tool and Databricks.
- Optimization: Streamline the overall data workflow process optimize execution and reduce operational overhead.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other data engineers and teams to ensure seamless data migration and integration into Databricks.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Primary Skills:
- Strong experience in SSIS package configuration.
- Solid understanding of Azure services and configurations.
- Proven experience with Databricks for data manipulation transformation and analysis.
- Additional Skills:
- Ability to manage data workflows and orchestration within Databricks.
- Knowledge of data pipelines data processing and cloud platforms (especially Azure).
- Experience:
- 46 years of experience in a similar Data Engineering role.
- Experience in the banking domain is a must.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problemsolving skills.
- Good communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work onsite in Austin TX 35 days per week.
