It includes a team of over 120 staff and 16 stateoftheart core facilities each focused on specific technologies and located across VIB sites in Ghent Leuven Antwerp and Brussels. These core facilities play a crucial role in supporting VIBs 1800 researchers with their expertise and advanced resources.
Job description
VIB Technologies is seeking a Financial Administrator to support our dynamic teams. As a key link between the unit heads and the administration departments at VIB headquarters you will play an essential role in ensuring smooth financial and administrative operations. This position offers the opportunity to manage financial projects provide critical support to leadership and contribute to the efficiency and success of our organization. Your Role and Responsibilities
Financial Administration and Managment
- Prepare quotes and invoices.
- Handle invoicing.
- Place and manage orders.
- Follow up on payments and prepare financial status reports for core heads.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decisionmaking.
You will support several unit heads for financial administration as part of a team of five colleagues that support the VIB Technologies program. You will also work with the administration departments of VIB headquarters ensuring smooth coordination and communication and interacting for tasks like invoicing payment followups and financial reporting.
Profile
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Financial or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in written and spoken Dutch and English.
- Strong social and communication skills meticulous wellorganized and structured.
- Financial project management experience.
- Proficiency in general Office packages financial tools and ERP software.
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports.
- Strong problemsolving skills to address and resolve issues efficiently.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Eager to learn proactive in suggesting solutions able to handle diverse tasks and work with short deadlines.
