Role: Equity Business Analyst
Location: Full time role hybrid London 2 days a week onsite
Start: ASAP
Contract Duration: 6 months initially (PAYE inside IR35)
The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Analyst to work in a truly global environment. Based in London as an enabler to the Equity Warrants Business; to build out and implement the requirements of the business including systems procedures policies and business processes. These changes are being delivered as part of the European centralisation programme.
Your daytoday activities will include:
- Manage/Participate in the full lifecycle of development: requirements gathering design development testing deployment maintenance and ultimately the provision of end user support for new systems and processes and client activity.
- Coordination and delivery of system enhancements from assessment and specification of new business requirements through analysis and documentation to include but not limited to development testing and implementation planning.
- Understand and document the lifecycle for Equity Warrants with regards to the Operational processing and the E2E lifecycle and Target Operating Model considering all regulatory considerations.
- Identification of opportunities for process improvements and driving through agreed changes.
- Create and provide regular project updates to the MSS Ops Project Head and the wider Equity Project including management of workstack RAID and any other required project artefacts.
- Take an active role in the project team attending relevant workshops & meetings.
Skills required
The ideal candidate with be experienced in the full trading lifecycle of Exchange Traded Derivatives (Warrants) and an understanding of the cash equity product. They need proven operational experience and be able to work with a broad and diverse range of business & project stakeholders across multiple geographies.
- Significant experience and knowledge of Equity Derivative Operations and business processes: execution confirmation settlement reconciliation investigations valuations risk clearing and collateral.
- Demonstrable capabilities in a modern Financial Services Equity Derivatives and cash operations organisation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between the business and technology providing clarity without technical jargon.
- Change Project coordination skills with experience of working with business and technology resources.
- In depth knowledge of Swift settlements (Payments and Confirmation)
- In depth knowledge of Equity Derivatives (Warrants) instruments and their lifecycle.
- Technical writing skills for requirements IT specifications using a range of systems: such as Microsoft Office products JIRA Confluence.
- Capable of creating operational workflows to achieve specific business change goals
