Seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for an electronics manufacturer serving the military and commercial industry.
The ideal candidate has 26 years operational experience with directing assembly and test activities within an electronics manufacturing environment. Ideally in a defense industry or similar. You have excellent communication skills with the ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely.
What you will do:
Plans organizes and supervises the activities of assemblers and technicians engaged in the assembly test and troubleshooting of components subsystems and/or complex electronic modules. Provides for optimum utilization of manpower equipment purchased material and facilities in accordance with cost schedule quality and customer requirements.
- Ensures that all assembly and test activities are performed to meet quantity and quality output goals and assures conformance to work standards production schedules and resource allocation.
- Trains and instructs subordinates in the performance of their duties by providing them with guidance to achieve cost schedule and quality objectives while improving their capabilities.
- Recommends changes to training methods and procedures.
- Plan monitor and expedite the flow of required hardware to support the monthly revenue plan.
- Reviews cost history of established products and designs during the bidding phase.
- Monitor and support customer repairs using the production test resources equitably.
- Helps plan coordinate and control the production operation approach by supporting the engineering effort during new product introduction process.
- Monitors work in progress and ensures that all procedures are followed in accordance with company rules and regulations pertaining to ISO/AS9100 mandates.
- Coordinate with Operations management and Sales to respond to customer requests.
- Participate in creation and manage to annual budget for departmental costs.
- Identify and implement Continues improvement projects to drive Operations KPI improvement cost reductions and utilization rates.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience OR Masters degree with 2 post year experience
- Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience is acceptable
- Understands basic supervisory approaches such as work scheduling prioritizing and process execution.
- Familiarity with microwave test equipment and testing/troubleshooting microwave components.
- Able to lead direct reports as well as indirect team members (i.e. Quality Manufacturing Engineering Sales) to resolve issues and meet goals for the department.
