Job Description

This vacancy requires 3 days per week at our Strand office and for every two weeks to be based in 240 Blackfriars Road.

London Tech Week is the UKs most influential and fastest growing tech event. Our purpose is to showcase and amplify the power of tech to enrich every aspect of our lives. Our content features bighitting speakers from the UK Prime Minister to the CEOs of tech giants to visionary innovators. Our expo floor brings tech to life and enables attendees to make connections which deliver lasting value.

The event has grown rapidly in recent years and we have a clear roadmap to continue this into 2025 and beyond. We are looking for an Account Manager who can support this by creating worldclass content and recruiting superstar speakers in a fastmoving and exciting sector.

The company is committed to making a positive impact on the world through technology. Its events and digital media provide a platform for startups scaleups and corporates to showcase their innovative solutions to the worlds most pressing challenges.

The portfolio includes brands such as the flagship event London Tech Week EQL:HER Elevating Founders Climate Leaders Forum AI Leaders Forum and Tech Impact Awards. These brands bring together startups scaleups corporates investors policymakers and thought leaders from all over the world to connect learn and collaborate.

We are looking for an experienced salesperson to optimise the commercial opportunity for London Tech Week. This is an account management and new business role responsible for driving event and digital sales. With a focus on consistent retention growth new business product development and expanding customer base this is a great role for someone looking to really make an impact.  

What Youll Do:

  • Take full ownership of customer account management including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to your accounts
  • Build and nurture strong longlasting customer relationships
  • Achieve revenue targets by proactively responding to inquiries and generating leads based on your deep market and product understanding
  • Position Informa Techs products solutions and services as effective solutions for market and business challenges
  • Manage projects within customer relationships balancing customer goals with company objectives
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent service across accounts
  • Juggle multiple customers concurrently meeting and exceeding deadlines
  • Maintain uptodate customer records in our CRM system
  • Develop a strong social media presence through social selling techniques
  • Stay informed about new and existing products services and solutions by liaising with colleagues
  • Share valuable news and insights with internal teams
  • Commit to continuous selfdevelopment staying current with industry trends and utilizing Informa Tech Sales Excellence Competencies
  • Monitor market conditions and competitors offerings
  • Represent Informa at key industry events
  • Contribute to crossfunctional projects as needed

Qualifications :

 

What Youll Bring:

  • Knowledge of Bespoke Consulting Events Digital Media or Marketing Services products
  • Experience in executing gotomarket sales plans and accurate forecasting
  • Ability to engage at a senior level build lasting relationships and employ solution selling techniques
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems
  • Strong data analysis skills to draw actionable insights from information
  • Understanding of various sales methodologies
  • Excellent project management abilities
  • Creative problemsolving skills
