Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Development Manager to lead the development of renewable energy projects from concept to execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management permitting and stakeholder engagement with a passion for driving the transition to sustainable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Development:
- Identify evaluate and secure potential sites for renewable energy projects (solar wind biomass or other).
- Conduct feasibility studies including resource assessment environmental impact analysis and financial modeling.
- Oversee grid connection and transmission planning.
2. Permitting & Compliance:
- Manage land use agreements permits and regulatory approvals.
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations and environmental standards.
3. Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with landowners government agencies utilities and community groups.
- Lead negotiations with vendors contractors and partners.
- Address community concerns and promote project benefits.
4. Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop and manage project timelines budgets and milestones.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary teams including engineers environmental consultants and legal advisors.
- Prepare and present investment proposals to internal and external stakeholders.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes impacting renewable energy development.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Environmental Science Business or related fields (Masters preferred).
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development or related industries.
- Proven track record of delivering projects within budget and schedule.
Skills:
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and project economics.
- Excellent communication negotiation and problemsolving skills.
- Familiarity with permitting and regulatory frameworks in the renewable energy sector.
Technical Knowledge:
- Understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar wind energy storage etc.).
- Knowledge of grid interconnection and energy market dynamics.
