Job Description
Candidate Must be local Texas
1. Support the migration efforts of the integrated resident information system HHSC IRIS which includes Cerner Millennium Dentrix CareTracker and RLDatix Risk Module to a new SaaS solution. This includes comprehensive planning data assessment cleansing and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new system. The Systems Analyst II will be responsible for designing and implementing workflows that integrate with the existing system ensuring a seamless transition and optimal functionality of the new system. The Worker will document all phases of the migration process engage with clinical and IT stakeholders for requirements gathering and ensure clear communication throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. (40%).
2. Ensures that design complies with HHSC standards. This task also involves setting up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity postmigration. (10%)
3. Perform necessary testing of the migration process including creating and executing Unit test scripts managing test scenarios analyzing test results and debugging issues. Utilize established software development and testing standards to ensure the reliability and functionality of the new SaaS solution. (25%)
4. Provide regular updates on the migration progress to all project stakeholders including immediate managers technical leads developers and business analysts. Use ticketing systems for information sharing and problem resolution. Prepare and deliver presentations and updates to both internal and external audiences to explain the migration process system functionality and technical challenges (15%)
5. Facilitate the smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and support postmigration. This includes training endusers preparing comprehensive system documentation and recommending strategies for optimizing system performance based on feedback and performance metrics. (10%)
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Database management systems and data migration with a strong emphasis on healthcare EHR systems particularly those involving complex integrations like Cerner Millennium. Required7years
- Experience in Oracle Microsoft SQL Server or similar database scripting crucial for the efficient migration of data to new SaaS platforms. Also skill in using EXCEL Word Visio and other spreadsheet software. Required7years
- Business analysis including reviewing analyzing and evaluating user requirements operational procedures and identifying solutions to automate processes or enhance system functionality. Required 7 years
