Job Description
We are looking to fill a full time Engineering Manager position with a manufacturer located in a community outside of Detroit MI in the Flat Rock Trenton Wyandotte area. If you have the education experience and background as shown below please send your resume for consideration.
Salary Range: $150k to $200k PLUS full relocation.
MUST HAVES:
710 years as Engineering Manager or Engineering Supervisor or other similar role.
Direct experience working with impression die hot forging is required to apply.
College degree NOT required in leu of required experience
Duties / Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the engineering team members work schedules duties and performance
Provide technical assistance on problems in production areas
Create troubleshoot and improve design of forging and support tooling
Use DEFORM and other software to simulate and test material flow
Evaluate production activities and prepare reports
Possess a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the success and failure of their assigned unit
Work with Purchasing and vendors to ensure service contracts are managed effectively.
Essential Functions:
Provide decisionmaking information by collecting analyzing and reporting technical data. Technical leader with capability to plan organize and direct projects in a professional and logical manner. Ensure firsttime quality of new tooling designs and continuous improvement of existing tooling.
Education Requirements:
BS of Engineering or experiential equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
710 years experience working in a similar role. Direct experience working with impression die hot forging required.
Skill Requirements:
Strong problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Exceptional organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Software skills: 3dimensional CAD Microsoft Office. Experience with toolpath flowsimulation Deform and surfacing software a plus.
