Freelance File Transfer Expert
Brussels Belgium (Remote and Onsite Options)
Freelance/Contract (with possibility of extension)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance File Transfer Expert to join our team for a dynamic project in Brussels. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of file transfer protocols secure data transmission and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize file transfer systems in a fastpaced clientdriven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consulting and Assessment: Evaluate and assess existing file transfer systems for clients identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Implementation and Configuration: Set up configure and maintain secure file transfer solutions (e.g. SFTP FTPS AS2 etc.) for clients.
- Security Best Practices: Ensure all file transfer processes adhere to industry best practices for security including encryption authentication and data integrity.
- Automation: Develop automated file transfer workflows and scripts to streamline data exchange processes.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expertlevel support to troubleshoot and resolve file transfer issues ensuring minimal disruption.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams including network administrators and system engineers to ensure smooth integration of file transfer solutions with other enterprise systems.
- Training & Documentation: Provide training to client teams and create detailed documentation on file transfer procedures and best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (3 years) in file transfer technologies (SFTP FTP FTPS AS2 etc.).
- Indepth understanding of security protocols related to file transfer (e.g. SSL/TLS encryption methods).
- Strong knowledge of automation tools and scripting (e.g. Python PowerShell Bash).
- Experience with enterpriselevel systems and data integration.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French or Dutch is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions.
- Knowledge of cloudbased file transfer systems (AWS S3 Azure Blob Storage etc.).
- Familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD pipeline integration for file transfers.
