Job Title: Data Modeler Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking a Data Modeler Engineer with 2 years of experience to join our team and assist in creating structured effective data models for our organization. You will be responsible for designing analyzing and maintaining logical and physical data models working closely with data architects and developers to ensure data consistency quality and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop maintain logical and physical data models for various databases and systems.
- Work with data engineers data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and transform them into efficient models.
- Design data structures and schemas that optimize query performance and data retrieval.
- Ensure data models meet business requirements and are aligned with overall data architecture strategy.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries metadata and documentation to support data models.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends patterns and inconsistencies to improve the model s accuracy and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the development and IT teams to ensure data model implementation is successful and meets performance standards.
- Participate in data validation testing and debugging to ensure models are accurate and reliable.
- Help ensure data governance and compliance with relevant regulations by maintaining data security and privacy best practices.
- Stay uptodate with the latest data modeling techniques tools and trends in the industry.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in data modeling database design or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts including normalization dimensional modeling and star/snowflake schema.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g. Erwin Data Modeler IBM InfoSphere Data Architect Microsoft Visio).
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL (Structured Query Language).
- Experience working with large datasets ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB Cassandra) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and explain complex data models to nontechnical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloudbased data platforms (e.g. AWS Google Cloud Azure).
- Knowledge of data governance data quality and data security best practices.
- Experience with version control tools (e.g. Git).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and datadriven project management.
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain data security infrastructure to protect sensitive information and systems from unauthorized access, breaches, and other vulnerabilities. Conduct risk assessments to identify and address potential threats to the organization's data and network. Implement encryption technologies, firewalls, access control mechanisms, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard data. Monitor, analyze, and respond to data security incidents, conducting thorough investigations and mitigating risks. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) by implementing appropriate controls and practices. Collaborate with IT, software development, and other teams to ensure security best practices are integrated across all systems and applications. Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements. Develop and implement data backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in data security, cyber security threats, and best practices. Maintain and update data security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident response protocols. Provide guidance and support to teams in securing cloud platforms, APIs, and other digital environments. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience (typically 2 Years) as a Data Security Engineer or in a similar role within information security. Strong knowledge of data protection principles, regulations, and best practices (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.). Experience with security technologies such as encryption, firewalls, SIEM systems, and access control systems.
