Job Description

This position supports vehicle chassis dynamometer emissions and energy consumption testing necessary for vehicle development and required for vehicle Certification & Compliance demonstration on second shift (3:30 pm 11:30 pm).

The test scheduling includes but is not limited to:

Vehicle tailpipe emissions

evaporative emissions

fuel economy

onboard diagnostic functionality and electrical systems efficiency testing.

The position Supervises twelve driver mechanics nine chassis dynamometer test cells two evaporative SHEDs 3050 tests per day/shift and manages vehicle refueling/charging with 150 vehicle management (soaking) area.

The Scheduler will interact with requesting engineers to provide high quality test results safely and efficiently. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Requirements

Requirements:

Associate Degree in Technical field

Minimum 3 years experience in testing management with emphasis on Vehicle emissions or powertrain systems

General understanding of vehicle powertrain and exhaust after treatment

Team player with excellent communication skills

Dedicated and well organized

Strong computer skills experience with MS Office

Preferred Requirements:

BS Degree or equivalent

Experience with vehicle emissions testing and with conventional emission analyzers (HC CO CO2 NOx and CH4)

Strongly prefer (But NOT must haves) experience working in a union environment

Additional Must Haves:

Must have experience supervising people

Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to support critical testing

Supervises twelve driver mechanics, nine chassis dynamometer test cells, two evaporative SHED's, 30-50 tests per day/shift, and manages vehicle refueling/charging with 150+ vehicle management Strong computer skills - experience with MS Office Minimum 3 years experience in testing management with emphasis on Vehicle emissions or powertrain systems General understanding of vehicle powertrain and exhaust after treatment
