We provide a userfriendly and secure platform for individuals and businesses to post and browse classified advertisements. As we continue to grow we are seeking a dynamic and motivated sales scout to help drive revenue growth and client acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

Overall responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients within your assigned territory or industry segment. Prospect and generate leads through various channels such as cold calling networking and referrals.
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct compelling presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients showcasing the benefits and features of our classifieds platform. Tailor your pitch to align with the specific needs and objectives of each prospect.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their evolving needs and ensure customer satisfaction. Provide ongoing support and assistance to clients throughout their journey with our platform.
  • Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets by consistently closing deals and upselling additional services to existing clients. Continuously seek opportunities to maximize revenue streams.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends competitor offerings and customer preferences. Use this knowledge to provide valuable insights to the product and marketing teams for platform enhancements.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and relay customer feedback to the product development team for continuous improvement of our platform.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and uptodate records of sales activities leads and client interactions using CRM software. Prepare regular reports and forecasts for management review.


KPIs to measure success.

  • Revenue Generation: Sales Revenue: The most fundamental KPI is the total revenue generated as assigned by the Head of Sales.
  • Sales Targets: Sales Target Achievement: This measures how well the sales scout meets or exceeds their assigned sales targets.
  • Customer Acquisition: New Customer Acquisition: The number of new customers acquired within a specific time frame. Market Share Growth: The percentage increase in market share in a given period.
  • Customer Retention: Customer Retention Rate: The percentage of existing customers retained over a specific period. Repeat Business: The percentage of revenue coming from repeat or returning customers.
  • Lead Generation and Conversion: Lead Conversion Rate: The percentage of leads that convert into paying customers. Sales Pipeline Velocity: The speed at which leads move through the sales pipeline.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Sales Calls/Meetings: The number of sales calls or meetings held per day/week. Sales Cycle Length: The average time it takes to close a deal.
  • Product Knowledge and Competency: Product Knowledge Assessment: Regular assessments to ensure the sales scout understands the product or service they are selling. Sales Training Progress: Tracking progress in completing sales training programs.
  • Market Analysis and Competitor Insights: Competitor Analysis: Regular reports on competitor activities and market trends. Market Expansion: The ability to Identify and enter new markets or niches.
  • Time Management Time Spent Selling: The percentage of time spent actively selling or engaging with potential customers. All the targets and expectations set by the business are subject to review from time to time.

Requirements

Key competencies

  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field (preferred).
  • Ability to analyze data and deduct meaningful information
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Swahili
  • Telephone etiquette
  • Internet native
  • Strong and proven attention to detail
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills particularly in excel
  • Ability to effectively work independently on multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to actively contribute to the teams success
  • Knowledge and Experience in Sales advertising or digital marketing is an added advantage
