Our client a leading UK accountancy firm with a strong legacy in professional services is seeking a talented Senior Manager to join their growing Accounting Advisory team in London. This team provides specialist accounting advice across various sectors and often collaborates with crossfunctional teams including Transaction Services Tax and Valuations. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver highquality efficient and proactive services to clients consistently exceeding their expectations.
- Lead smaller technical projects focusing on the application of technical accounting standards.
- Support transaction teams with GAAP conversions and M&A activities including IFRS 3 analysis group reorganisations and private equity transaction accounting.
- Assess the impact of new and recently adopted accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 9 IFRS 15 IFRS 16 IFRS 17) and prepare complex consolidation cashflow models including multientity multicurrency scenarios.
- Contribute to identifying and developing new business opportunities including proposals for new work internal branding and expanding the network.
- Provide regular feedback and support for the development of junior team members helping to create a positive growthfocused work environment.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA CA ACCA or equivalent).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge particularly in IFRS UK GAAP and the UK Companies Act ideally with an external audit background.
- Extensive experience with recent accounting developments specifically IFRS 9 IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
- Proven ability to lead client relationships and manage complex accounting projects.
- A problemsolving mindset with experience applying accounting principles to unique or complex situations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical accounting concepts in written reports and discussions.
- Experience in mentoring and developing junior staff.
Desired Experience:
- Experience working with listed companies or large corporates is advantageous.
- Knowledge of US GAAP or sectorspecific expertise would be beneficial.
