Job Description
We are an accounting practice located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney offering a full range of services including accounting tax audit advisory and bookkeeping services to our client base.
We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant. The ideal candidate will have experience in the preparation of Company Trusts Partnerships Financial Statements Business and Instalment Activity Statements Fringe Benefits Tax Returns and Income Tax Returns.
The ideal candidate must be proactive complete work independently and in a timely manner with accuracy.
Strong communication skills are essential as this is a client facing role.
The role includes working closely with the team in the Northern Beaches office as well as the Offshore Team in the Philippines.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
Possess CA or CPA qualification (or be working towards)
Hold an accounting relevant tertiary degree
Be proficient in Xero software (preferably also with BGL Super experience)
Have 35 years accounting experience in a role servicing clients
Have excellent communication skills
Have the ability to work independently think strategically and multitask
Minimum of 5 years Australian accounting and taxation experience Xero / MYOB Certified Experience in the preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts Experience working with Australian SMEs Competent with computer operations as well as some specific applications, such as Xero, MYOB, Microsoft Word, Excel, outlook. Experience with relevant computer systems The person must be keen to learn and develop their computer competencies Particularly good in verbal and written English communication skills
