Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Executive to lead our BusinesstoGovernment (B2G) sales initiatives targeting state and local government agencies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions within the public sector with a deep understanding of government procurement processes and a passion for introducing transformative technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify prospect and establish relationships with key decisionmakers in state and local government agencies responsible for criminal justice corrections and public safety.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to promote our SaaS solutions software and hardware aligning with the unique needs and challenges of government clients.
- Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand the specific requirements of government agencies and tailor presentations and proposals that demonstrate how our solutions can address these needs.
- Proposal Management: Lead the preparation and submission of Request for Proposals (RFPs) Request for Information (RFIs) and other procurement documents ensuring compliance with government standards and showcasing the value of our offerings.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture longterm relationships with government clients providing ongoing support training and updates on product enhancements to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends competitive landscape and regulatory changes affecting the criminal justice sector to inform sales strategies and product development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including product development marketing and customer experience to ensure client feedback is integrated into product enhancements and to align sales efforts with overall company objectives.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Public Administration or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 57 years of successful sales experience in the public sector specifically selling SaaS solutions to state and local governments. Experience in the criminal justice or public safety sectors is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex government procurement processes and build relationships with government officials.
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
- Excellent negotiation presentation and communication skills.
- Selfmotivated with a proven ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
- Proficiency in using Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and other sales tools.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with government clients and attend industry events.
