Required Law Teacher in IGSCE board school at Powai location in Mumbai.

A law teachers job description typically involves the following responsibilities and tasks:
1. Teaching and Lecturing
- Deliver lectures on various areas of law including subjects like constitutional law contract law criminal law torts family law international law and more.
- Develop and teach course material such as lectures case studies and practical exercises.
- Create and update syllabic for courses offered ensuring content is aligned with the latest legal developments.
- Provide clear explanations of complex legal principles and facilitate understanding for students of different academic levels.
2. Student Assessment
- Design and grade assignments exams and other assessments to evaluate student understanding and academic progress.
- Provide constructive feedback on student performance to help improve their legal knowledge and critical thinking skills.
- Hold office hours or provide additional support to students who need help with course work.
3. Research and Scholarship
- Conduct research in a specific area of law contributing to academic literature and staying current with legal trends and precedents.

- Attend conferences seminars or workshops to stay updated on new legal developments and network with other legal academics.
4. Curriculum Development
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and revise curricula ensuring the law program meets academic and professional standards.
- Introduce new courses or teaching methods to improve student learning outcomes.
5. Advising and Mentorship
- Act as an academic advisor to students providing guidance on course selection career development and opportunities within the legal profession.
- Mentor students in their professional development including internships legal clinics or research opportunities.
6. Professional Development
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current in law whether through attending workshops legal education courses or maintaining connections with practicing attorneys.
7. Administration
- Participate in faculty meetings and committees to help shape academic policies and institutional initiatives.
- Contribute to the accreditation processes or other institutional assessments.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- A law degree (JD or LLB) and ideally an advanced degree (LLM Ph.D. in Law).
- Strong academic record and expertise in specific areas of law.
- Teaching experience either at the university level or in a legal setting (e.g. as a practitioner).
- Excellent communication writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students in complex legal topics.
- Commitment to continuing legal education and academic research.
This role often requires balancing teaching responsibilities with research and professional activities. Some law teachers also participate in legal clinics or offer practical training experiences for students.
