Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are seeking a dedicated candidate Healthcare Assistant HCA to join our team in providing personalized care and support to individuals living with dementia in our Nursing Home based in Co Wexford. Permanent Fulltime
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents engaging in meaningful interactions and activities tailored to individual preferences and abilities
- Support residents in participating in recreational activities and therapeutic programs designed to promote social engagement
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for residents
- Participate in ongoing training and education initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills in dementia care and best practices
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with residents and their families
Requirements
- QQI Level 5 Award Healthcare or related qualification.
- Excellent track record as a topperforming healthcare worker.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent personal care skills.
- Previous experience as a healthcare assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting preferably in dementia care
