About the Role
ITP Media UK is seeking a talented and ambitious Editorial Assistant to support our team of magazine and website editors in producing engaging and insightful content for the retail hospitality and healthcare sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified journalist or media graduate looking to kickstart their career in a fastpaced editorial environment. The role involves sourcing and writing multiple news stories daily ensuring content is compelling accurate and aligned with our audience s interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Research source and write daily news stories for our digital platforms.
- Edit and proofread articles to ensure flawless grammar clarity and accuracy.
- Craft attentiongrabbing headlines to drive reader engagement.
- Upload and publish articles using WordPress ensuring proper formatting and visuals.
- Manage and enhance the companys social media presence maximizing audience reach and engagement.
- Optimize content for SEO ensuring visibility and discoverability.
- Adapt press releases and social media content into concise engaging news articles.
- Conduct interviews with key industry figures to generate exclusive content.
- Write feature articles and attend trade shows conferences and industry events.
- Provide editorial support for industry awards events.
- Assist with magazine production with Adobe InDesign experience being a plus.
Requirements
Requirements & Skills
- A degree in Journalism Media Communications or a related field.
- Strong writing editing and proofreading skills with exceptional grammar.
- Ability to create engaging and concise content under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and digital content strategies.
- Experience using WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
- An interest in business affairs and industry trends.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign is advantageous.
