Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist with experience operating Haas Lathe machines with Fanuc controls. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in machine setups tool touchups and offset changes ensuring precision and quality in production. This role requires strong attention to detail troubleshooting ability and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and set up Haas CNC Lathe machines with Fanuc controls ensuring all parts meet required specifications.
- Perform tool touchups offset changes and necessary adjustments for optimal machining.
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work orders to execute precise machining tasks.
- Conduct firstpiece and inprocess inspections using micrometers calipers depth gauges and other precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary modifications to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Monitor machine performance identify potential issues and collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize production processes.
- Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean organized work area.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience operating CNC Lathe machines preferably Haas with Fanuc controls.
- Ability to perform setups offset changes and tool touchups with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Proficiency in using micrometers calipers depth gauges and other precision measurement tools.
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving minor machine or programming issues preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; machining certifications or technical training is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs stand for extended periods and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a highvolume precision machining environment.
- Familiarity with Gcode and Mcode editing.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
