Job Description

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline
We require two Senior Data Analysts to work as part of the Australian Apprenticeships Program.
Requirements
The Data Analyst requires a range of skills across Business Intelligence Data Visualisation and Data Engineering.
The Data Analyst will:
Support business intelligence needs of for management and governance processes as well as operational area.
Investigate the need for business intelligence reporting and analysis where this is complexity and ambiguity.
Select and applies business intelligence tools and techniques to provide insights and aid decision making. They select acquire and integrate data for analysis and verify the data s quality and integrity.
Apply a variety of visualisation techniques and design the content and appearance of data visuals.
Develop narratives around data sets to guide decisionmaking processes and enhance understanding of key insights.
Develop business rules for integrating consolidating and cleaning data so that it is restructured for analytics machine learning and/or data mining.
Essential criteria
1. Demonstrated experience in managing complex Business Intelligence and Data Visualisation projects.
2. Ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholder to extract business requirements work together during the project and agree that business requirements have been delivered.
3. Curation of data extracted from a transactional SQL database to restructure the data for analytics machine learning and/or data mining.
Desirable criteria
1. Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI or a closely related tool.
Essential criteria 1. Experience using Sentinel or a similar SIEM solution is essential. 2. Familiarity with the Australian Government Information Security Manual. 3. Familiarity with the best practice cyber security monitoring processes 4. Experience in cyber incident response 5. Experience in cyber security monitoring within, or for, other Federal government entities
