Summary:

The Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates the efforts of the hourly production employees.  They ensure that product specifications are met with a high standard of quality.  They are responsible to make sure compliance is met with all standards policies regulations for the safe environmentally sound production of a quality product. 

Essential Functions:

• Working closely with plant staff to provide a safe working environment.
• Responsible for meeting plant and company objectives.
• Performing daytoday operations on the production floor with constant emphasis on safety quality delivery and cost.
• Running production lines and machines when employees are absent or the plant is shorthanded with workers.
• Assuring conformance of finished product to company industry and customer specifications at minimum cost and optimum efficiency.
• Directing teaching coaching and training of production employees.
• Being responsible to maintain shop floor metrics visual controls and continuous improvement methods to the manufacturing floor.
• Supervision of production associates including performance reviews onboarding discipline and terminations.
• Monitoring and administering attendance and vacation.
• Ability to function in a fast paced dynamic environment.
• Possessing strong leadership skills with a desire to move up in the organization.
• Having indepth knowledge of manufacturing processes and improvement processes.
• Ability to effectively implement change.
• Possessing knowledge of safety health and environmental rules laws requirements and applicable Signode policies.
• Demonstrating problemsolving skills.
• Effective abilities in leadership interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively manage time and resources.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned by plant manager.
• Wearing all proper PPE and follow all safety regulations/procedures.

Qualifications :

Education:

High School diploma or GED with accredited BS degree preferred.

Experience:

• 5 years of manufacturing experience
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• OR Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
