seeking a driven and dedicated associate with 3 years of experience with plaintiffside litigation with a preference for experience with:
- The FLSA and analogous state wageandhour laws;
- Class / collective actions; and/or
- Federal court practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with finding evaluating and initiating new cases;
- Develop strategies for advancing and resolving cases;
- Formulating and drafting pleadings discovery requests/responses briefs etc.
- Professionally and promptly communicating with clients opposing counsel courts;
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of complex excel files e.g. damage models time audits etc.
- Assist with the negotiation of settlements and motions for approval thereof;
- Develop and maintain expertlevel knowledge of FLSA and/or other profitable niche areas;
- Complying with firm protocols regarding billing of time and organization of matters;
Other Qualifications:
- A solid work ethic and proven ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
- Strong writing and research skills with the ability to draft highquality pleadings and briefs.
- Experience with the client intake/retention process ensuring clear and compassionate communication.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently all while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- A proactive approach to pushing cases forward and meeting deadlines.
- Bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
- Ability to work fulltime from our offices in either Jersey City NJ or Wayne PA (the Jersey City office is on the waterfront right across the Newport Path and Lightrail and easy access from NYC).
