Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to manage quality assurance and control processes for production lines. The role focuses on supervising production and food handling tasks ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is proactive detailoriented and thrives in a fastpaced environment while maintaining strong communication skills and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform line checks before production during operations and at changeovers.
  • Monitor production lines to verify proper codes labels weights and packaging.
  • Maintain detailed records of raw materials and finished goods from receipt through production and shipping.
  • Manage products on hold including rework and addressing noncompliant ingredients packaging and products.
  • Collaborate with shipping and production teams on quality control matters.
  • Operate and manage analytical equipment for quality testing and product analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) food safety standards and quality fundamentals including traceability and allergen control.
  • Identify and implement solutions to quality and food safety issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a foodrelated field science or a related discipline (Associate degree considered with equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in QA/QC activities within food pharmaceutical or related manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety/quality standards.
  • Indepth knowledge of HACCP plans traceability and calibration procedures.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASQC Certification or equivalent quality management certification.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices in quality systems.
  • Knowledge of quality audits quality systems management and inspection processes.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on QA/QC.
  • Ability to work effectively in team settings and meet tight deadlines.
