Job Description

Requirements

  • Solicitor qualification with training in the UK and Wales.
  • Minimum of 35 years of commercial law experience with a strong focus on buyerseller agreements and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with South African commercial law is highly desirable or a willingness to gain proficiency in local legal frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to relocate to South Africa and integrate into the local legal and business community.
  • High level of professionalism and a commitment to ethical legal practice.



Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and representation in matters related to buyerseller agreements and other commercial transactions.
  • Draft review and negotiate contracts and agreements ensuring they comply with local and international legal standards.
  • Assist clients with mergers acquisitions and other complex commercial transactions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to provide accurate and uptodate advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop tailored legal strategies for unique business challenges.
  • Work closely with clients relocating to or investing in South Africa providing legal counsel on local regulatory requirements and compliance.
  • Support the firms commitment to excellence by contributing to the development of the Commercial Law practice.
