As Manager Health and Medical Services lead a team of high performing skilled clinicians and administrative staff providing a range of health and medical services to students and staff across our campuses.
Provide efficient operational oversite including policy development quality clinical care and service evaluation.
Success in this role requires collaboration with the Student Health Counselling and Wellbeing team specifically the general practitioners psychologists psychiatrist dieticians nursing (clinical and mental health) and administration teams.
Drive strategic initiatives for service improvement and provide highlevel support to the Director Student Health Counselling and Wellbeing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing recruitment professional development and team building for clinical and administrative staff.
- Ensuring compliance with accreditation and legislative requirements including practice standards clinical governance policy development and quality assurance of counselling and wellbeing services.
- Budget management and performance reporting.
- Provide advice to stakeholders regarding the provision of quality health and medical services.
- Partner with Digital Solutions at the University to streamline the management of systems relating to record management.
- Manage and lead the team to meeting accreditation standards as set out by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
- Participate in the planning review reflective and constructive evaluation research and development activities of the work group.

This is a continuing full time position based at the Gold Coast or Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multicampus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
The fulltime base salary is HEW Level 9 Range $129419 $138753 per annum. The total FTE package includes 17% employer superannuation $151421 $156835 per annum.
About you
- An accomplished manager with high level leadership capability developed in clinical settings.
- Demonstrated ability in managing a clinical environment with proven experience in developing and implementing strategic policies and processes which reflect best practice.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to interact effectively with a diverse stakeholder group including independent practitioners senior officers external bodies university staff and students.
- Maintain currency of knowledge of best practice within the sector; collaborate with external bodies to enhance services for students and staff.
- Ability to prioritise workload of self and others to achieve outcomes.
Qualifications :
- The occupant of this position will hold postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in a healthcare setting.
- To be and remain vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles mumps rubella varicella (chicken pox) pertussis (whooping cough) and hepatitis B.
