The Role:
- Maintain the production environment by monitoring availability and performing periodic system health.
- Improve reliability and quality of the infrastructure and applications.
- Drive the vulnerability management work stream and ensure all priority issues are addressed.
- Work with the stake holders to ensure all the relevant patches are applied to the Unix servers Oracle databases and Javabased applications.
- Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications.
- Schedule patching of production systems ensuring there is no impact on customer traffic.
- Maintain security certificates track its expiry and timely renewal.
- Participate in system design consulting platform management and capacity planning.
- Raise Change requests and Work orders follow up approval and ensure completion of patching activity.
- Participate in CAB (Change approval board) and ensure the Change request goes through its complete lifecycle within the desired SLA.
- Work with the specialized teams to identify vulnerabilities in the system and design a plan to address them.
- Ensuring change management and incident management practices are diligently always followed.
- Developing solutions following Incident postmortem to ensure the reoccurrence of the incident is significantly reduced if not eliminated.
- Raise and track relevant RAIDs (Risk Assumption Issues and Dependencies)
