Job Description
Location: UAE
We are looking for a skilled Stamping Engineer to oversee the tooling development process from sourcing to homeline buyoff. The ideal candidate will have experience in supplier management tooling process optimization and quality assurance within the automotive stamping industry.
Responsibilities:
- Follow up on tooling development ensuring smooth execution from sourcing to homeline buyoff.
- Vet supplier engineering capabilities and assess their design strategies.
- Communicate and maintain global supplier design strategies for stamping tools.
- Implement design standards and process confirmations as per customer requirements.
- Work with the Feasibility team to identify and resolve die processrelated issues.
- Support tooling managers in supplier supervision and management.
- Oversee key supplier activities including design reviews panel delivery prebuyoff and shipping.
- Approve processrelated documentation.
- Accept tooling management project overflow including onsite supplier management.
- Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis to provide technical support.
- Support the successful delivery of tooling and parts.
- Track all project aspects according to customer tracking systems.
- Establish and lead supplier technical site assessments.
- Coordinate corrective action plans and process improvements.
- Lead quality issue resolution with suppliers.
- Manage crossfunctional technical problem resolution related to supplier design or processes.
- Serve as an escalation point to ensure rapid issue resolution at supplier sites.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience in the automotive stamping industry.
- 2 years of project management experience in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing lead times throughout all construction phases.
- Highly selfmotivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with UG or any CAD software (AutoForm skills are a plus).
- Ability to work overtime if required.
- Strong time management and problemsolving skills.
- Fluency in English (written & spoken).
- Willingness to travel frequently based on project requirements.
- Strong risk foresight and problemsolving abilities.
