Summary:
Safely and efficiently operate commercial trucks to transport goods between various locations according to schedules and delivery instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safety First:
- Prioritize safety of self other drivers pedestrians and cargo at all times.
- Conduct pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections including checking fluid levels tires lights and brakes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to avoid accidents.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies (e.g. accidents breakdowns).
- Transportation:
- Load and unload cargo securely and efficiently.
- Plan and execute routes efficiently considering traffic and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries mileage and fuel consumption.
- Documentation:
- Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and on time (e.g. bills of lading delivery receipts).
- Communicate any delays or issues to dispatch or supervisors promptly.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks as required.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Should have 3 years of heavy vehicle driving license.
- Should have a valid driving license to work in Germany.
- No German language skills are needed in India.
- Good English communication skills are mandatory.
