Job Description
Job Title: Senior Data Modeler(US Citizens Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain conceptual logical and physical data models to meet business and technical requirements.
- Define and implement data modeling standards guidelines and best practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with business analysts data architects and developers to gather and translate requirements into efficient data structures.
- Optimize existing data models for performance scalability and cost efficiency.
- Lead efforts to ensure data quality consistency and integrity across databases and systems.
- Provide technical leadership for data governance including metadata management master data management (MDM) and compliance initiatives.
- Work with ETL teams to ensure effective data integration and transformation processes.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in data modeling and best practices.
- Stay uptodate on emerging trends tools and methodologies in data modeling and data architecture.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Science or a related field.
- Experience as a Data Modeler or related role in a largescale enterprise environment.
- Strong experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin ER/Studio or PowerDesigner.
- Proficiency in working with relational and nonrelational databases (e.g. Oracle SQL Server MySQL MongoDB Cassandra).
- Indepth knowledge of data modeling techniques (e.g. normalization denormalization dimensional modeling and NoSQL schema design).
- Expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for highperformance applications.
- Strong experience with ETL tools and data integration processes (e.g. Informatica Talend DataStage).
- Experience in cloud platforms (AWS Azure or Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark).
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Ability to lead crossfunctional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
