Job Description
Job Title : Fiber Technician
Location : Las Vegas NV
Type : Full time Onsite
Position Overview:
As a Fiber Technician you will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing fiber optic cables ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background excellent problemsolving abilities and the capability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Install splice terminate and test fiber optic cables.
- Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic cables issues ensuring minimal downtime.
- Interpret and work from technical manuals diagrams and schematics.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Follow company regulations for underground utilities excavation.
Qualifications:
- Valid Nevada drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Pass a preemployment drug test.
- OSHA 10 Construction Industry
- Experience with underground utilities preferred.
- Proven experience in fiber optic installations and related construction activities.
- Proficiency in using fiber optic tools and equipment such as OTDRs splicing machines and power meters.
- Technical certification or degree in related field is preferred.
- Experience in micro trenching is a plus.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting climbing and operating in confined spaces.
