Position: Senior Aircraft Maintenance Manager
Position Overview:
The Senior Aircraft Maintenance Manager is responsible to the CEO for all aircraft maintenance functions across multiple certifications (Part 145 Part 135 and Part 141). This leadership role oversees employees and processes to ensure the safe and expeditious maintenance of both customer and company aircraft including modification work and additional maintenance services. The role also leads and reviews Maintenance and Avionics Business Development efforts.
Key Functional Areas:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise servicing repair modification and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify airworthiness.
- Ensure compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements.
- Schedule repairs and maintenance while investigating outsourcing repair costs when needed.
- Coordinate and supervise personnel activities including determining work assignments and managing daily workflows.
- Oversee and ensure the execution of all required training so that all mechanics and technicians remain taskqualified and certified.
- Perform management analysis and workload planning to meet customer service and company objectives including tracking scheduled and unscheduled maintenance modifications and Service Bulletins to achieve budget schedule and quality targets.
- Interface with customers to understand and meet their requirements through strong customer service skills.
- Evaluate and improve existing methods and systems for maintenance and flight scheduling ensuring costeffectiveness productivity and employee safety.
- Execute maintenance operations under AS9100/9110 Quality Management System guidelines.
- Maintain and translate various forms of data and records in support of periodic reports.
- Actively support the company s safety philosophy and programs including investigating all accidents and injuries and implementing corrective actions.
- Determine and coordinate efficient and quality offsite repair solutions when required.
- Ensure compliance with the Hazardous Waste Program and all company environmental policies.

Educational Background:
- Bachelor s degree plus a minimum of 7 years of recent aircraft maintenance experience including at least 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity; or
- Associate degree plus a minimum of 12 years of recent aircraft maintenance experience including at least 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
Professional Experience:
- Extensive handson experience in aircraft maintenance procedures.
- Prior senior supervisory or management experience in military aviation or commercial aviation operations is a plus.
Certifications and Licenses
- FAA Airframe & Power Plant License (and IA license desired).
Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills necessary to lead a growing workforce.
- Strong ability to communicate accurately and concisely both verbally and in writing for maintenance and material support matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
- Familiarity with FAA and DoD maintenance procedures as well as AS9100D/AS9110C Quality Management Systems.
Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain and retain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have proper immigration status.
