Job Description

Position Overview:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) to join our dynamic healthcare team.
  • The IR Tech will play a vital role in supporting physicians during minimally invasive procedures utilizing advanced imaging technologies.
  • This role requires expertise in sterile techniques operation of specialized imaging equipment and delivering exceptional patient care throughout diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with interventional radiology procedures including but not limited to:
  • Shuntograms
  • Port placements
  • Drain/catheter placements
  • Embolizations
  • Operate and maintain Siemens imaging machines and other specialized equipment to ensure accurate and highquality imaging.
  • Adhere to sterile and scrub techniques upholding the highest infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety comfort and a smooth procedural workflow.
  • Document patient information and procedure details using charting systems such as EPIC and Omnicell.
  • Float to other areas within or below the scope of practice as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
  • ARRT certification or RCIS certification (required).
  • Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) certification (preferred; determined during interview).
Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in sterile and scrub techniques.
  • Handson experience with Siemens imaging machines and EPIC charting systems (required).
  • Familiarity with managing dialysis patient populations and related procedures such as shuntograms and permacath placements.
  • Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures including port placements drain/catheter placements and embolizations.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills particularly in fastpaced clinical settings.
Additional Information
  • Charting Systems: EPIC (required) Omnicell.
  • Floating: May be required to float to other areas within or below the scope of practice as needed.
