Job Title: Senior Sourcing Officer
Job Overview: The Senior Sourcing Officer is responsible for leading the strategic sourcing and procurement processes for the organization. This role involves managing supplier relationships driving cost optimization ensuring quality and compliance and identifying opportunities to enhance the overall supply chain strategy. The Senior Sourcing Officer will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to source goods and services that meet business requirements ensuring the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the sourcing strategy for goods and services across various categories.
- Develop and implement sourcing plans that align with the organizations goals budget and timelines.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities financial stability and performance.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers ensuring favorable pricing quality and delivery terms.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure the best value and service.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (e.g. finance operations legal) to ensure the successful implementation of sourcing initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance address any issues and ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Analyze sourcing trends market conditions and cost drivers to make datadriven decisions.
- Prepare reports and presentations on sourcing strategies performance metrics and savings achieved.
- Provide leadership mentoring and guidance to junior sourcing and procurement team members.
- Manage risk by identifying and mitigating supply chain risks and developing contingency plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management Procurement or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Minimum of 57 years of experience in strategic sourcing procurement or supply chain management with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proven track record of delivering cost savings and improving procurement processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with sourcing and procurement software and tools (e.g. SAP Oracle etc.).
- Indepth knowledge of supplier markets trends and industry best practices.
